Jay Sweet
}} Jay Sweet (born 11 August 1975) is an Australian former professional racing cyclist who won a gold medal at the 1998 Commonwealth Games. He accepted a road cycling scholarship at the Australian Institute of Sport and in 1997 was a member of the ZVVZ - Giant - AIS team.〔 Between 1998 and 2001, he was a member of BigMat - Auber '93 (France).〔 He won the gold medal in the Men's Road Race at the 1998 Kuala Lumpur Commonwealth Games.〔 Sweet rode in the 1999 Tour de France and did not finish Stage 15 due to an ankle injury from an accident during Stage 3.〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://cyclingtips.com.au/2011/02/where-are-they-now-jay-sweet/ )〕 He retired in 2003 and moved to New Zealand. Whilst in New Zealand he worked as a commercial fisherman and apprentice builder.
